Hi
I am struggling to get my multi-monitor support working correctly on my rig. I am running KDE Neon Developer with 2 x 34" LG monitors, each capable of 2560 x 1080. Originally I had a single NVIDIA Quadro 4000 card driving both monitors (DVI + Display Port). The DVI connection runs hapily at full resolution but the Display Port would only achieve 1920 x 1080. I am using the NVIDIA Drivers. To try and resolve this I installed a second card (Quadro 600) and run each monitor of the DVI port on each card. The NVIDIA X Server Settings asked me to create a second X Screen when I enabled the second monitor which was written to xorg.conf. Upon rebooting the second monitor seemed to sync at 2560 x 1080 but it appeared to be running a black xServer window with the cross instead of the mouse pointer. I could move my mouse over to this display but couldn't drag any windows onto it. I installed a whole load of KDE updates and rebooted and the second display now shows the proper desktop with the widgets I had previously added but I still cannot move Windows over to it. The KDE Display Configuration tool only shows 1 monitor available. Any suggestions? Here is my xorg.conf

I have the exact same problem. The only difference I have is, I am running arch linux with testing repos enabled and running GTX cards instead of quadro's.
Black screen with cross instead of mouse cursor, nothing can be moved to that screen. |
