Hi, I'm new to KDE and I'm running on KDE neon. I love it so far, but there's one thing that bothers me.
I'm using the Icons-only Task Manager.
If an application has multiple instances and I click on it in the task manager...

... the windows pop up like this. Sorry for the low quality, you can't take screen shots of it.

How can I make it so that the windows are always aligned and centered (like in Ubuntu) instead of being all messy? If I can't do that, can I disable this feature completely and just have the normal thumbnail list pop up when I click on an app with multiple windows?

By the way, I did search google and I briefly searched the forum for how to change this first, but all I could find was stuff about how to change the Alt-Tab task switcher.

Screenshots - they're a thing... Spectacle - just bind it to your PrtScn key - set a delay timer - boom you're off!!

As a result of your pointless photograph (vs a simple screenshot) I've no exact idea what you're up to... :z :-\ :'(

If your talking about the Highlight windows feature... Well it still sucks - despite my early protestations. The appear delay is still a bit too fast. Thankfully requests to fix the close delay have been answered (vs KDE 4 where it was just plain unusable - since the Highlight Windows hung around like a bad smell).

So RHS click on Icontasks / icons-only Task Manager Settings / uncheck Highlight Windows.

Icontasks has a neat feature - that's better (TM) than Highlight Windows anyway. Hover over an application icon - with multiple windows open - so you get the normal thumbnail popups. Then (with your mouse pointer still over the application icon) roll your mouse wheel... Weeeee - that's cool 8)

I know how to take screenshots and I already have kde-spectacle on my system. The problem is, it's literally impossible to take a screen shot of what I was trying to capture. It straight up doesn't work.

Here's a video in better lighting conditions in case that helps: https://youtu.be/y9sm0BZORsU
This is what I want it to look like: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_ooQRur7dJk/T ... ace_03.png

Well, I finally found the answer.
In Plasma 5.9, You go to System Settings>Desktop Behavior>Desktop Effects.
Edit the Present Windows effect and change the layout mode to whatever you prefer.
