Thankyou, The Ruby script worked well on Kubuntu 10.04 *64bit* after i apt-getted 'ruby'
but, try as i might, just keeps erroring on same distro but 32bit spin, with much more Ruby installed !

i've tried tweaking the script, without success. still, it is fun trying !

i'll prob just go back to 64 bit later this week. not because of this, but 64 works really nicely on thus laptop :) - i wonder if the script will work for me 'off the bat' after installing 'ruby' :)

Hawkmoon - You RULE! Why this behavior isn't built into KDE4 is beyond me. There should at least be an "Apply to KDE3" button in the color settings.

To get this included into KDE, someone would need to integrate Hawkmoon's script into the current code used to write out KDE 4 colour information. Then they could file a review request at http://git.reviewboard.kde.org/ to get the code reviewed and committed to KDE Git.
