How to get rid of annoying toolbar shadow?
Thu Sep 28, 2017 3:53 pm
Hi KDE Community,
I'm new here, starting directly by complaining
How can I remove this shadow here? I tried several themes, but in the beginning (or after restart) it is fine and after a while it looks like this:
As you can see, it is on top of any other window (here Dolphin) and it really affects readability.
Can I turn off this shadow thing?
I'm currently running KDE neon LTS 5.8. with Intel graphics. Compositor is activated, OpenGL 3.1 chosen.

I just realized that the same ugly shadow is also used for the menu:
And also for the second toolbar on the second monitor (like in first post).
Can I get rid of this?

I just found it going away if I switch compositor output module to OpenGL 2.0 instead of OpenGL 3.1. It disappears directly after applying.
Not sure about how long it lasts...
