Simple widget cutomization question

Sun Oct 08, 2017 2:50 pm
I have a few widgets on my desktop that look like this. How can I modify the look and feel of them? For example, making the background transparent and changing the font color too. Sounds like I'm missing something pretty simple but can't figure it out. Plasma 5.10 and using Arch so latest packages probably installed.

Thanks.

KDE Plasma 5 Tutorials

Development/Tutorials/Plasma5: https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Plasma5

There are:
- how to create and edit your plasmoids
- how to create and edit your plasma theme. Plasma theme defines how your plasmoids are looking.

Qt QML

Qt Documentation: http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtqml-index.html

The plasma 5 is using qml to draw the plasma objects.

Few examples from the KDE Forums - editing the plasmoid QML part

I'm looking at the docs provided and it seems like I have to create my own theme. This just seems overkill if all I want is to modify a couple parameters in the widgets. Am I reading this right?

Thanks

Edit: I realize I was in fact reading wrong. Looks like I have to modify the plasma script that rules the plasmoids, any pointers as to where exactly I can locate it would be most appreciated.
