Help customizing icons

Sat Oct 28, 2017 12:27 pm
Hi all, can you please help me? I’m trying to change the following in KDE:

- the logout/reboot/shutdown icons used in the application menu and in the logout screen. I’ve tried several themes but those icons don’t seem to change… the logout screen is particularly ugly: https://i.imgur.com/9dInfOA.png

- the top 3 icons in the networking applet (I mean, is that triangle supposed to mean “LAN”?): https://i.imgur.com/HHX8emu.png

Plasma icons

Plasma is using icons from the plasma desktop theme.

Plasma 5 links:
Development/Tutorials/Plasma5: https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Plasma5
--> Plasma5/ThemeDetails: https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tu ... emeDetails

Logout is using system.svgz and the Networks widget is using icons from the network.svgz

Logout with the Antü desktop theme:

Network widget with the Breeze and the Antü:

The Kickoff seems to be some kind of hybrid. It is using mixed set of icons from the plasma theme and from the icon theme. Kickoff with the Antü & KFaenza:

Note !
If the used theme doesn't have some icons they will be borrowed from the default theme.

Thanks for replying. What I don't understand is, I've tried both Antu Classic and Antu Alpha, all the other icons change but the logout/reboot/shutdown icons stay the same (I've already tried logging out and in).

Have you tried changing the Desktop Theme?
Rog131 was pointing out that those icons are tied to the Desktop Theme, not to the Icon Theme (as well as pointing out what files you would be interested in changing if you were to modify the Desktop Theme itself).
