1] Any KSplasher alternative for KDE5 Plasma?

KSplasherX was a cool app that allowed KDE4 users to create/tweak their own splashscreens but since the introduction of KDE5 Plasma 99% of splashscreens were left unused, we have to port them to QT5.

So far, non-adavnced users, can only tweak the background image of Breeze's and Oxygen's preinstalled splashscreens but I was wondering if any advanced users had already made their own original splashscreens and what programs were used.
