Multiple ~/Desktop folders?

Sun Jan 28, 2018 6:07 pm
If I have a monitor set for Folder View, each monitor set on folder view has the same shortcuts showing. They all point to the same folder, ~/Desktop, and any changes are reflected in all Folder View enabled monitors.

Is there a way to have a discrete Desktop folder for each monitor so they display only shortcuts I've placed on that monitor? As it stands now, I only enable 1 monitor as a Folder View and the others are in Desktop View.

A workaround I found for now is to make a ~/Desktop2 and ~/Desktop3 folder and have the Folder View show that.

I think Plasma 5.12 fixes this bug though: https://phabricator.kde.org/D8493

Super, that works fine. I never saw the Location option on the settings page I guess.
