Ultimately, I'm writing a bash script to install programs and load my configurations for automatically setting up my desktop environment on a new install of Kubuntu 16.

I'd like to do this through editing the configuration files, not though the System Settings GUI menu.

I'd expect it to be in
Code: Select all
~/.kde/share/config/kinputrc
but it's not there

Looks like the key you want to change is in ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals in the [KDE] section, the SingleClick line.

Note, you may find the kwriteconfig command-line tool useful for scripting these changes.
