Hi,
I managed to increase the size of the fonts in kde and some programs. But in my browsers, Chorme and Firefox, I can increase the content by zooming but the address bar stays small. I have my pc connected in the livingroom to my 41 inch tv, and I'm sitting on a distance of 4 meters. So its impossible to read the address bar. Also other programs I cannot increase the fontsize or the overall look. For example gmusicbrowser and many others. Is there a way to do this systemwide. In windows I was used to change the zoom percentage in settings menu and every program would increase also.
Thanks in advance

I've got a similar setup with using a TV as the monitor for my computer. I do sit a little closer, but still want large fonts to be able to see things at a distance.

The configuration I've settled on is as follows, but feel free to try different things out:
Display Scaling: System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Display -> Scale Display: Currently set to 1.0 (resolution set to max at 1920x1080)
Font DPI: System Settings -> Fonts -> Force Fonts DPI: 144 (provides the 1.5x scaling)
(font sizes set to default sizes of around 12)

This seems to result in a pretty consistently-scaled UI with fonts and things large enough to see, but not so big that there's hardly room to fit everything, and that seems to result in the best-looking fonts and elements. I tried using Display scaling to increase the size of fonts and such, but was having troubles with font rendering.

You can certainly experiment with different combinations of these settings to see what seems to suite your setup the best.

There have also been several other posts on these forums about configuring scaling and/or DPI settings for 4k/hidef displays, which may have additional useful information.

where is the file that stores those settings? I experimented with font sizes and ended up (I know now) too high. It's resulted in X refusing to start. If I knew where the file is, I could undo the damage from a terminal screen, but I don't know which file to edit.
