autohide panel keeps popping up

Wed Aug 15, 2018 9:14 pm
System details:

Gentoo 17.1 systemd/plasma profile
plasmashell 5.13.4
kwin 5.13.4 (x11)
xorg with amdgpu

So I installed Gentoo with KDE maybe about a month ago, and I set my bottom panel to autohide, and it was working.

But the last couple of days for some reason it stopped working, whenever something happens on the screen or I switch workspaces, it pops back up and stays up until I pass my mouse over it or press the win key twice. For the time being, I just disabled autohide.

I found this bug where the OP has exactly the same problem in Ubuntu in 2015:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1512103

I tried disabling screen edges and touch edges, like someone suggested on a related reddit thread, but it didn't help.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, I like having a fullscreen transparent terminal with divides over a wallpaper slideshow, and the panel ruins the look somewhat.

Just tried it again, and autohide panel is working properly, so never mind!
