Konqueror file list view

Fri Nov 21, 2008 3:31 pm
Hi everybody,
Is it possible to set view mode for files like KDE 3.5?

Image

It's very, very compact and ergonomic view mode, and I didn't see it in Konqueror and Dolphin in KDE4.

I'm not sure about Konqueror or Dolphin, but Krusader (at least for KDE4) does have this feature, called the Brief View.

Go into Dolphin settings, go to view modes, enter the icons tab and:

- Set the default icon size to as small as you possibly can,
- Change the number of text lines to 1,
- Change the grid arrangement to columns, and
- Change the grid spacing to none.

Thanks, all is OK, but I can't set the grid spacing to "none", just "small", may be my version of KDE (4.1.2) not so new as your :)

I know this is a really, really old topic, but I just had to say thanks, I was this >< close to uninstalling kubuntu and going to check out some other desktop environment.

Cheers o)
