(sorry for the lack of a ' in don't in the title, I ran out of space)
I wrote a small application to create symlinks for mounted drives on the desktop. However, the symlinks do not appear on the desktop itself, but they are present in the Desktop directory. A few things I confirmed: - The desktop directory is set to the same directory I'm making symlinks in. (~/Desktop) - Normal files and directories appear just fine. - The symlinks appear in the Desktop directory when browsing it with Thunar. (Haven't tried Dolphin, since I removed it.) - I can create symlinks via console just fine. (READ EDIT) KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.53.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 Kernel version: 4.19.13-1-MANJARO Application code: https://gist.github.com/knuxfanwin8/3b4 ... e5cf18b455 EDIT: Turns out this isn't the fault of my script, mounting the drives doesn't work from console as well. I'll try to work on a slightly different version using .desktop files, but it would be nice to see if there's any way to get symlinks working. |
