Lock Screen fails using timer

Tue Apr 02, 2019 12:01 am
I'm on Linux Mint KDE 18.3, & after Mint dumped KDE there's not so much help in their KDE subforum anymore so I'm asking here.
Not which package versions I should specify here so let me know which & I'll post them.

I can use the following 3 methods to lock the screen, but in "System Settings" using the timer where it says: "Lock screen automatically after:" doesn't work. It used to maybe a month ago. Not sure which update broke it.

These 3 methods do work:

KDE Menu's "Lock" button

<Ctrl> + <Alt> + <L>

Code: Select all
qdbus org.freedesktop.ScreenSaver /ScreenSaver Lock

Is there a dependency to check or a config file that might be wrong I can maybe recreate to fix this?

Noticed recently the issue doesn't exist in Arch Linux, there it works fine. It appears to be a Linux Mint issue, which since they dropped KDE support will likely never get fixed. :-(
