USB mic and headphone adapter

Sat Mar 30, 2019 6:31 am
I have problems where the usb soundcard does not work properly.
For instance, I can be using zoom just fine (because it is controlled locally to the application too).
Then I go to youtube on chrome and the sound will play through the speakers.

This is unique to kde.
The sound settings are set to use the unitek sound devices but seem to be ignored.

You'll want to check the setting is two places. First, click the volume icon in the tray and then the hamburger icon to the right of the output device. Make sure the Default option is checked. If that doesn't fix it then click the setting icon to the right of the Applications tab under the system tray volume icon. In the new window (Audio Volume Settings) choose the Audio Volume option on the left and make sure the device is set to default. Click the little circle to set it to default if it isn't. Hope this helps.
