This actually seems to happen on any KDE based distro that I use.

I setup custom icon svgs in the Pictures folder. I edit the .desktop files with the full path name to the desired icons. If I do an application search, the icon shows up accordingly. If I do a search and I pin the application to the taskbar (Icon taskbar), it will pin with the desired icon (I can't run the program before, the program must be closed). However, if I scroll through the application list, the icon will be a "blank page" icon on any entries that I've modified the icon.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

This does apply to all of the application launchers that ship with KDE (and one that I had downloaded from the "New Widgets" menu).

Am I missing a specific desktop entry? Is there anything else that I should be looking at? I've done kbuildsycoca5, removed the icon-cache.kcache. Thoughts?
