In Debian KDE system settings, letters are missing and they vanish always.
The kwin/plasma version here is 5.14.5.
What is the cause for the issue and how to solve this?

what do you mean, missing, can you provide a screenshot? Also which Theme and color set do you use?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

That looks more than strange, never seen such a thing. Please make sure you have the latest version of plasma and its dependencies and check your theme again (in the System Settings). It should be Breeze by default if you didn't change it or installed a different one.

FWIW: Spectacle allows you to do screenshots and upload them automatically to a pic hosting service, no need to take actual pictures of the screen :-)

Which OpenGL drivers are you using? This is a bug in either the OpenGL drivers or in Qt. If you can reproduce with recent versions of those, please report a bug.

The plasma used here in the Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) is 5.14.5 and the theme is Breeze.
Still the problem exists. The screenshot is in https://paste.pics/7EAKX
Do I need any other different version of KDE plasma to solve this?

The Opengl version is 3.1 Mesa 19.2.4 and the qt is 4.10.2.
The problem exists only in KDE system settings page and not on the entire display.

Any help to solve this issue..??

Current plasmashell version is 5.17.5 with OpenGL version 3.1 Mesa 20.0.0
Still the issue exists.
Screenshot for reference:

I would like to know the cause for the issue. Any suggestions?

Hey,

sry I can't help you, but I'm facing the same problem

Running a fresh Kali Linux install on Virtual Box
KDE Plasma version: 5.70.5
Qt version: 5.12.5
OpenGL version: 2.1 Mesa 20.1.1

In my case the problem occurs on every KDE specific GUI (Startmenu, Notifications, System Settings,...)

Maybe someone can figure this out with some more infos
