When I close the lid or click the suspend button, the screen does turn off. But when I open the lid and click a button or move my mouse, the computer wakes up, but doesn't turn the screen on. Completely black screen, no backlight. The computer is awake though, since I can change the volume and hear the feedback. Even if I shine a light on the screen it's completely black.

In the Software & Updates I am using the proprietary nvidia graphics driver "nvidia-driver-435".

I'm running an HP-Pavilion 15t with nvidia graphics.

When I run "lspci | grep VGA" this is what I get:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 8a52 (rev 07)
If anyone has any idea or has had this happen to them I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

Edit: Here is my /var/log/syslog when I suspend: https://pastebin.com/gjrW6GAt
