This is an old topic:
e.g.: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=289&t=151131 Any ideia when it will be fixed? When I look at /media/<user>/, there is a lot of old paths are not removed. It seems that when a path with the volume label already exists, a new one is created with a increased number in end part of the name. So, shouldn't be a cleaning process in the start of plasma? This is annoying specially when dealing with fixed paths. -rsd |

Talk to your distro, this has nothing to do with Plasma or KDE, it's the underlying Linux system.
FWIW: if you do ask a question, please specify your exact Plasma version and distro version.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
