Hello,
a recent KDE update has made the menus of system tray applications (such as notifcations or volume) transparent. This makes the text hard to read, depending on the background. How can I disable the transparency? Thanks! |

Which theme do you use and which exact Plasma version? I haven't observed any changes in Breeze between Plasma 5.17.4 and 5.17.5
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Not sure exactly at which version it changed.
Using Breeze at every theme setting. |

The only thing that comes to mind is disabling the translucency in the Desktop effects.
I just tried here: with all styles set to Breeze nothing is transparent. Going back to Breeze Dark now with slight translucency. Breeze is far too bright for my eyes..

Well, obviously your Breeze seems to be different than my setup, see attached screenshot

That is not transparency, that is translucency, see my post above, you can change the intensity of the translucency easily on the Desktop Effects settings.
