KDE does not suspend laptop when connected to other monitors

When I have multiple monitors plugged in, KDE does not suspend on laptop lid close - I can see my external monitor's display and I can also see the cursor moving erratically on it. This does not happen on my i3wm which is setup on the same user.
Is there a way to fix this? Issue faced on - Manjaro, Ubuntu, Gentoo.cnv.to Tested Kernel - 4.14, 4.19, 5.2 |

System Settings -> Hardware -> Power management. Check all the profiles (plugged in and battery power).
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
