Nvidia xconfig problems

Thu May 14, 2020 12:52 pm
Hello!

I'm trying to use Nvidia-xconfig to use multipule monitors from 2 graphics card, but only one seem to work.

OS: Kubuntu 20.04
KDE Plasma version: Not sure, 5.18.4 i believe.

What happens is that when i log into kubuntu with 2 monitors plugged into each graphics card (Quadro P620) with DVI cables into a Mini-Displayport adapter, one monitor works perfectly fine but when the other monitor tries to load into KDE it just gets stuck at the loading screen, whilst i can see my cursor on it when i hover over.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum section to post in, i hope someone can help me with this.

I will post my config below.

Code: Select all
 # nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig:  version 440.82

# nvidia-settings: X configuration file generated by nvidia-settings
# nvidia-settings:  version 440.64

How about giving useful information like your exact Plasma version?
hm, my bad, I must not have had enough coffee when I first read this...

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
