I've tried to make hotkey for input phrase in my native language, but unsuccessfully. It is input only ascii codes, ignoring non-ascii symbols.
Even try example from documentation, such as Shift+П:Р:И:В:Е:Т, with same result. Yes, need to switch keyboard layout to input native language symbols. Does anybody knows how to make it working? . |

why not set different keyboard layouts? I currently use 4 different layouts, depending on the use case, and that works perfectly fine. You can assign a keybaord shortcut to switch the layout quite easily.
System Settings -> Hardware -> Input Devices -> Keybord -> Layouts
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I use this in Konversation, where you can replace a specific key combination with a phrase, but I would think this to be a per application setting, not a system wide. Which specific application are you talking about?
