save session from the shell

Thu Jun 18, 2020 12:33 pm
KDE is configured to restore previous session on login (system settings-workspace-startup and shutdown-desktop session-on login: restore previous session). When I reboot or shutdown via the application menu it works fine but when I run shutdown from the shell (e.g. "shutdown -r now") the current session is not saved and at login KDE restores old session saved when the system was last rebooted via the menu. Is it possible to save the current session from the shell script? Plasma 5.12.9
