Working Problem on Second Monitor

Wed Oct 14, 2020 10:23 am
I am very poor at terminology and therefore will sound stupid, but that is OK.

Setup: Laptop with 1366x768 attaching hdmi to 1020x1080 TV.
Issue: It looks great sounds great, but at full resolution I am losing a lot of edge around all sides. Anything maximized and all my borders that have the menus are off screen or all full screen apps lose that same area of content. 192.168.0.1 routerlogin 192.168.10.1

The only solution that works for the moment is reduce rez to 1366x768. Obviously I have not toggled or set something up right, but I can not seems to find it.
Could someone point me in the right direction?

Do you duplicate the screens? That is usually not a good idea with different resolutions. Making the TV a second screen should solve the issue.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
