Hi!

I wonder if someone could help me understand two options in System Settings/Touchpad

Image

Klicken (Click)->
*Berühren und Ziehen (Drag and Drop) -> the context menu says: sliding over directly after tap drags (I got no clue what this means)

*Tap-and-drag lock (no translation) -> (not sure but this seems to be related to the above mentioned function)

It seems like neither me nor my touchpad know what to do with these Options. Any ideas?

Cheers.

I just enabled them and I can explain how they work and how they are different.

You can test them on moving a window (I did).

With tap-and-drag, try the following:
1. Quickly tap on the window border title
2. Put your finger on touchpad and keep it on while you move it. You will drag the window
3. Release your finger. The drag operation immediately ends

With tap-and-drag lock
1. Quickly tap on the window border title
2. Put our finger on the touchpad and keep it on while you move. You will drag the window
3. Quickly lift your finger and put it down again. Drag some more. You will continue to the drag the window
4. Repeat Step 3 many times
5. Release your finger and wait a few seconds. The drag operation now ends and the lock is removed.
