Disabling upowerd daemon

Fri Jan 15, 2021 6:18 pm
Hello,

Running DM-Less KDE-Plasma-5.19.5 Under a non-systemd Linux-5.4.80 and dbus-1.12.20

I try to get rid of the upowerd daemon.

upowerd being part of the upower (0.99.11) package installed as a dependency of powerdevil (5.19.5),
I started disabling the automatic launch of powerdevil at startup (The canonical way i.e. pushing "Hidden=true" in associated .desktop file.)

The associated powerdevil daemon no longer starts at session startup... and no longer shows in ps. 8)
However... upowerd still shows. :'(

I understand that upowerd is likely to be fired by dbus upon request from other services, so... :

What is (are) that (these) services (other than powerdevil) requesting dbus to launch upowerd ?
Or, at least, how can I find it (them) ?

BTW : qdbus did not help. :-\
