Control bar disappears when TV is connected via HDMI

When I connect a TV via HDMI, the control bar on my notebook disappears. The TV shows the empty desktop. The control bar reappears when I disconnect HDMI.
The distribution is openSuse Leap 15.2. I would like to continue my work on my PC after connecting the TV. |
