Hey everyone, long time KDE+Arch user. Today i installed KDE on Arch, on my Asus GL552VW. It has dual graphics manages via Optimus tech. I am running optimus-manager to change between the nvidia GTX 960m and the Intel HD530 iGPU. The brightness OSD was working yesterday whenever i pressed the keys to increase/decrease brightness, and the backlight was working too, and the powedevil tray icon was detecting the brightness changes. But, i think after i installed the nvidia drivers+optimus-manager, the OSD stopped working, and powerdevil does not detect backlight brightness changes, even though it works. The slider works when used manually. Even weirder, brightness goes up and down by itself randomly. This laptop does not have brightness sensor, so its not that. I am running kernel 5.11 with nvidia 460.
