I have downloaded a tar.gz archive of a splash screen, and want to install it.

However, I reside in Mainland China, which means when I try to download it from System Settings, it never succeeds in connecting. So I'm wondering whether it is possible to install the splash screen from file.

The splash screen in question is SnowyNightMiku. I tried extracting the archive and putting the content/splash dir in my /usr/share/plasma/look-and-feel/org.kde.breeze.desktop/contents/splash/, but it crashes my ksplashqml for some reason
