A few weeks ago, icons for various applications disappeared.
Application Dashboard: https://i.imgur.com/fg4VuxS.png Application Launcher: https://i.imgur.com/oQrPrBY.png – https://i.imgur.com/ZHDwGgI.png – the Task Manager view of icons is fine. Any ideas? I already tried obvious things such as clearing caches, and preferring something other than Breeze for icons. |

I can't guess/recall the origins of the userapp- .desktop files. Environment: FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT.

I imagined that the bug involved Application Dashboard and Application Launcher.
Now I see that icons are similarly missing in an LXQt Desktop view of things, so I'm shifting discussion to a FreeBSD area: Icons missing for GTK-Mixer, Firefox, Thunderbird and more | The FreeBSD Forums |

The same workaround for Thunderbird, although I can not understand why there was no killing in response to pkill:
Where the pkill line had no effect in Konsole, it was subsequently effective in KRunner. |
