Some more information about your system (Distribution, exact Plasma version, Global Theme and Color Theme) might be useful. What did you try so far?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Manjaro; Kernel 5.13.19-2; Plasma 5.22.5; WM Theme: Orchis-dark; Theme: Edna [Plasma], Orchis-dark [GTK2/3]
I searched for any parameters in system and desktop settings, looked through KVantum settings and didn't find anything about string highlighting Also I tried to change themes, window decorations etc, but everything stays the same |

Which color scheme? This is were you want to look.

You mean "colors" option in appearance? If so, I use "Breath2 2021 Dark". But I also tried out other ones, each of them had this stripes |

Did you try editing the color scheme? When you hover over it, there will be a pen which means the scheme is editable. Then, in the Color set "View", choose the same color for Normal and Alternate Background

Set normal and alternate colors to same (copied RGB code), but still have this stripes
Maybe this should be set in Dolphin? Because it happens only there https://photos.app.goo.gl/de42AyKWHUrXxG578 https://photos.app.goo.gl/MFFHRPm9BjjPJrjv5 |

I don't know - I can't reproduce this unless I change the Alternate View to some other color. I can't find this specific color scheme, either. Are you using Kvantum for anything? I wonder if this is actually a blur effect as opposed to a different color, maybe?

Yes, I use KVantum (searched for this setting there - didn't find), for blur effect I use KWin script "Force blur", tried to turn it off - no effect

Can't reproduce this either, each and every "native" theme I tried allows to remove the strips with that change. Maybe it is the color scheme that does it wrong. Did you try to report this to the author of the theme? It is not one made by our team AFAICT

I think this is from the style. Edna is definitely using Kvantum
Look at a couple of examples, one using this specific style: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/k ... colors_in/ https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/d ... _this_row/ https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/e ... olphin_in/ I am sure there is a config option in the theme's kvconfig file that will turn off the blur/transparency effect it is adding to things

You were absolutely right! There actually is a parameter in kconfig, where you can set alternate color Mamarok, claydoh, thanks you very much for your help! |
