font in KDE startmenu broken

Sun Nov 14, 2021 8:30 am
Sometimes the font in the KDE startmenu is broken and unreadable.

Image

For example:
"Firefox" can be easily readable.
The description beneath is unreadable.

Also the menu buttons on the bottom are broken.

Did anyone encounter this before?
What's going on?

From the looks of it, that's the Cupnoodle kickoff grid menu. I suggest you right click the menu icon>configure application launcher and fiddle with the settings of it. Cupnoodle has a lot of settings and is, imho, the best around. You might want to take a look at the inner and outer margin settings. Of course, if you'd change the menu and use an alternative which faces the same prob, the problem might be in your font settings ( system menu) Hope you figure it out.

This realm's name is Maya. And she speaks Hertz. But Ahamkara makes a fuzz about it.

Weird...when i stumbled upon this behaviour the next time i just deleted the control bar and added a fresh default one.

The fresh default control bar does not have this behaviour.

thanks in the meantime for the hint for the settings! :)
