Hi there,
I should admit, I haven't dug up the forum completely, but a first couple pages didn't show an answer to my question. I have two Systems (dual boot on my Framework laptop): but both use the same /home partition and show the same problem: - Kubuntu 20.04.3 LTS - recent LTS release. - Pop!_OS 20.04 LTS with kde desktop. On Pop!_OS, KDE system information shows: Operating System: Pop!_OS 20.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8 Kernel Version: 5.15.8-76051508-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz Memory: 62.6 GiB of RAM In "Edit Applications", several shortcut keys are set. For example Meta+W for Brave Browser: In `.config/kglobalshortcutsrc` there is a section with corresponding key
In the list of global shortcuts, this shortcut is also present But Meta-W does nothing. Standard debug step returns empty line
However, shortcut for the dolphin in the list of global shortcuts, I guess default shortcut, works pretty well. How can I debug this issue, and what can cause it? |

This was a known bug prior to 5.78 apparently.
Maybe this helps? https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=166079

Thank you for the reply and the link.
I did both suggested tricks with no luck. Can I do any steps to help debug this problem? Or should I just wait until they update KDE |

Uhm..well, kde frameworks is in the 80's number these days. This one I'm typing on is a kubuntu 21.10 with frameworks 5.86. You're using an older version. You could either wait a veeeery long time or get yourself a younger version. If you want a kubuntu, that would be the 21.10 currently. There might be some workaround for that issue, but it's been around for a while prior to 5.78.
