Running 5.17.6-arch1-1 & Plasma 5.24.5

Hello,
Each time after I reboot my system (whether it be restarting or just turning it off and later on again) the widgets seem to resize and reposition themselves in consistent positions, but no matter how many times I reposition and re-resize them they always go back to their config after rebooting. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

Tried a widget and it kept defaulting to the top left hand corner of the screen. There needs to be some means of anchoring them in place. For me unusable as they are. I use custom conky intsead.
