I am wondering how to make my icons a theme. I asked that in the graphics section earlier, but people are discussing themes here. Someone on kde-look.org or something said Qt docs say how to use a Qt program for that, but I doubt that is true.
I saw the icons in folders somewhere with theme files, but it seems there is no editor for the files. They look like an SGML file type, but when I use a script to make them lower or upper case, the files no longer work. I did not know SGML might allow case-sensitive files; I do not really want to edit one.

Thanks; I will try it for other art, but I said icon themes, not icons. I made icons months/years ago, but KDE does not save them in its configuration, so every time I install KDE I have to set them up again. A theme is a file that goes with a folder of icons. Many themes are made, but no one says how.

It might help to look at an icon theme that already exists. Try looking here
Looks simple enough, this should be a basic index.theme template:
Make sure to repeat "[]" for each directory you specify.
