Hello,

I am having trouble setting keyboard shortcuts for applications. Specifically, I'd really like a shortcut for Konsole, a shortcut for Firefox and one of my laptop's "media buttons" to launch Amarok.

Unfortunately, systemsettings > Input Actions doesn't work -- whenever I try to set an action or trigger, it crashes. In systemsettings > Keyboard&Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts, the khotkeys doesn't seem to work at all.

I am running a vanilla KDE 4.1.3 on Arch.

Thanks in advance.

Keyboard shortcuts (Standard as well as Global) are more or less fixed in KDE 4.2 beta 2. You may upgrade from 4.1.3 -> 4.2 which might help.

Hmm, how stable is 4.2 right now?

beta 2 is appreciably stable. I almost have no crashes. However the latest trunk may have some broken software still being worked upon. You can very well go with 4.2 beta 2 though.

OK, thanks. I'll think about upgrading!
