openoffice launcher

opensuse 11.1 has it by default, how do i enable it on mandriva? thanks.

That launcher just executes "oofromtemplate" on my openSUSE 11.1 system. I am not aware if it is present in Mandriva, openSUSE 11.1 shipped with OpenOffice 3, not sure about Mandriva.

Assuming 'oofromtemplate' exists on your system then you can do the following, which will create the launcher for you:

  1. Right click on Folderview, Create new > Link to Application
  2. Change the filename and icon appropriately
  3. Change to the "Application" tab
  4. Set the name, description and comment appropriately
  5. Set command to 'oofromtemplate'
  6. Set work path to $HOME
