with KDE 4.1.x I used this plasmoid called panelspacer:

KDE-Look.org - Panelspacer

Now, in KDE 4.2. RC1 this doesn't work for me! Is there any pendant for that plasmoid or are there any possibillity to configure the taskbar in that way?

Panelspacer is part of the KDE trunk now, you can checkout the code here, instead of downloading it from KDE-Look.org:

I can confirm myself it works in 4.2 on Debian.

I could compile and install it but now I couldn't find it?
It is not in the "Add Widget" Dialog!

That's strange, did you do a make clean in the build directory and ran this snippet again?
