Greetings

I am now happily using openSUSE 11.0 with KDE 3.5.9. I have set the color scheme (Configure Desktop. Appearance & amt; Themes, Colors) to KDE 2. I am thinking of installing openSUSE 11.1 and would like to try KDE 4.x, but want to change the colors to resemble those of KDE 2.

Does any one know what the KDE 2 colors are, as H S V or R G B or HTML numbers, or in some other form I could use , or where I might find them? A search on this forum, Google, and a search of my installation files have been so far without results.

Thank you for the consideration and effort.

The colours are probably available from the source code of the Colour Theme file. I am not sure how hard it is to port Colour Schemes from KDE 3 to KDE 4.

Export the colour scheme in kde3, then when you install opensuse 11.1 open up kde3's kcontrol, then import the colour scheme, then open up kde4's systemsettings alongside it and use the colour picker to grab the colours. You can also read the text file and manually copy over the hex values.

The saved colour scheme file will be here:

~/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes/?????.kcsrc
