How do you arrange icons to grid? I would be speaking about plasma icons for shortcuts on the desktop.

Do you mean with folder view, or separate individual shortcut plasmoids?

I don't think it is possible. You are probably better off just using folder view and making a folder full of .desktop files pointing to whatever it is you want.
