[SOLVED] Konqueror - show navigation pane/split view by default

(I'm using KDE 4.1, by the way)

Is there some way to configure Konqueror so that it shows the navigation pane by default upon opening it (like it used to in KDE3?) I was an avid Konqueror user over Dolphin, and this is the only irksome thing about Konqueror that I have been trying for hours to configure and failing miserably.

Also, any way to make split view the default as well? Not necessary, but would be useful!
