[SOLVED] Duplicate Notifications

I recently upgraded from intrepid to jaunty, and now I have duplicate notifications. It seems to only be related to power, but it could be other things I haven't noticed as well.
I've poked around in the settings but I haven't been able to figure out how to get rid of that old notification (the white one).

as it turns out, its power only
this fixed it: sudo apt-get remove guidance-power-manager
