Hallo there, mighty experts,
is anyone out there who knows which shortcut to use for inserting special utf-8 chars within typical kde applications (e.g. kwrite) ? On Open Office or gedit it is possible with STRG+Shift+U + [number] . I.e. if I want to have a capital N with a dot above I type STRG + Shift + u (which gives me a underlined u) and then 1e44 --> Ṅ (aaah, works in my GTK browser too ![]() But not all GTK apps are working -> scite i.e. doesn't (ldd says it depends on some gtk libs - but may be I am wrong). I don't want this "show a character table and point to the 'chosen one' with your mouse" - a shortcut would be of much more help. Thanks a lot, Herr Irrtum |
