Hello there,

just upgraded my kubuntu jaunty to 4.3 ... not without hickups;
but now it looks pretty interesting.

One (guess very simple) question:

Every time when I am switching desktops ... a black application
shows up that shows me a blue arrow ... telling me
'in which direction' I left the previous desktop.

I find this very annoying and would like to turn it off.
I digged through the various related menus ... nothing relates to
this interesting function. So, how do i get rid of this?

System Settings -> Window Behavior -> Under "Window Switching", uncheck "Popup desktop name on desktop switch".

I think the KWin devs have said that the option will be given a better text in the future.

They better do so.

Thank you very much.
