Where are the KDE desktop effects from 3.5.x.

Are there any plans for making plasma emulate this?

Kdm configuration has it.




It's a real drag having to settle for Microsoft style desktops.

Yes.. this feature doesn't exist in KDE 4 yet...

I'm still glad for support for transparent wallpapers, though there aren't many of those about either.

dont need it in desktop settings

need it in kolorpaint instead !

then in desktop settings just add option to open a wallpaper for editing in kolorpaint and save the modified one in user's home

The keyword is 'yet'.

So I look forward to being able to enjoy the ancient technology that kept my mind in a solid state by being able to change the colors of the background.


Maybe I'll look at plasma a little and see what I can do.

Gradients support for the color wallpaper has already been coded for KDE 4.4. Adding the other effects shouldn't be too hard...
