i have kde 4.2.4 with fedora 11, and it detects my screen resolution to be 1280x800, which is indeed right. How ever it only manages to fit like 1/4 of the window in the screen, its aparently set for a diferent resolution.
Im sorry if this is unspecific but i am relatively new to linux, and just brand new to kde which i installed like 2 days ago. any help would be welcome |

Hi vindicate, welcome to KDE!
I had a similar experience to yours today when I tried to hook up an external 4:3 monitor to my 16:9 laptop - KDE set both screens to be 4:3, and still worked to that ratio even after I unplugged the monitor. A simple reboot fixed the problem. Does this sound like your situation? If not, then please tell us more! By 'window' do you mean the whole desktop, or individual application windows? Do you have other desktop environments, e.g. Gnome or XFCE, installed on your system, and if so do they suffer from the same problem? Nathan |
