I can change the wallpaper from desktop settings, but there's no option to set a image as wallpaper in dolphin or gwenview.
It'll be really nice to have a set as wallpaper option in the right click context menu of an image from kde's default file browser. Is there a way to add it? Or... is there a plugin for gwenview for this task? if there is how to install the plugin?
Thanks in advance :)

In KDE 4.4 you will be able to drag and drop an image to the desktop and set it as wallpaper.

No, KDE 4.3 will be default at the final release of Karmic. Lucid Lynx (10.04) will default to KDE 4.4, and 10.10 will default to KDE 4.5, etc. Of course you can install KDE 4.4 on Karmic by the time 4.4 hits the beta stage... More info on that will be on the Kubuntu News page when 4.4 hits beta stage.
