I'm already spending some time on this, but cannot find a solution:
I am using KDE alongside compiz - for customizabiliy reasons mostly.

Now I entered some applications in the command field, that I want to get on shortcuts, i.e. dolphin and konsole.

Now if I start dolphin using the shortcut - it gets the focus, BUT if I start konsole exactly the same way, it doesn't. I thought "hey this is keyboard focus stuff" but kwrite launched that way grabs the focus successfully.

Only if no window at all is currently having the focus, then console gets it as it is supposed to.

Any pointers? Thanks.

I cannot reproduce this on KDE Trunk at this time, although I am using KWin. It could be a bug in either Compiz or with Konsole.
