Open Office Fonts Jagged

Fri Jan 15, 2010 7:16 am
I recently tried the KDE desktop, and it certainly is beautiful - I like everything about it except that the fonts in Open Office are horrible. I turned on anti-aliasing, but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions on how to improve the Open Office fonts will be appreciated.

You may find that changing the zoom solves the problem; I find that OpenOffice sometimes steps up or down the size through more and less good looking sizes.

Thanks for the tips. I tried removing "~/.fontconfig" but that didn't have any effect. I was surprised to see the the fonts looking much better with the page set at 150%. Kword doesn't seem to have any issue with fonts though, so I may be heading in that direction as the path of least resistance. :)
